If you believe in what Mike Max is selling, then the Vikings indeed are interested in trading star wideout Percy Harvin.

While this shouldn’t be too surprising to most fans what it does is keeps throwing fuel on the fire that Harvin has played his last snap in purple and gold.

Max’s report only refer’s to “sources” and offers no credible quotes. The thing is, Spielman was on the air with KFAN saying only that Harvin is a special player but wouldn’t speak to the internal business (Harvin’s contract).

The Vikings have proven that they can win without Harvin (note the last four regular season games) and his value as a young (24) weapon could provide a nice return for the Vikings.

If the Vikings decide to trade him they will likely do so right before or on the first day of the draft. This would create the biggest return (see Spielman’s swindling with Cleveland last year) for the Vikings.

Expect multiple reports from the team that everything with Harvin is fine and they expect the deal to get done. Whether that is true or not we may not know until he gets traded or paid by the Vikings but it is sure to be entertaining.
